After founding IKM in 2002 Hugo has increased shareholder value for our large client base in the Americas. During his tenure Hugo has expanded the reach of IKM across multiple countries and has fostered innovation for government institutions and private companies .
His academic background includes professional degrees Information and Technology Management as well as a comprehensive Executive Business Education.
Gustavo Espil
VP of Client Relations
Gustavo brings over two decades of experience overseeing projects and leading operations and sales teams in major Latin American Oil & Gas companies.
His expertise drives digital transformation for national and publicly traded operators. Gustavo notably excels in orchestrating large-scale data management projects for key countries' petroleum banks or corporate databases:
Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, and Chile.
His academic background includes post-graduate programs in Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Programming Analysis.
Christian Vargas
Chief Technology Officer
Christian is one of the leading tech minds in Latin America on how to best apply the latest technology tools for the Oil and Gas industry. Christian has lead dozens of teach teams to create hundreds of key software developments to improve our client’s core operations.
For 15 years he has served as a liaison and has pushed the boundaries of innovation with suppliers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Computing, and others. His academic background includes a BA in Computer Science as well as numerous certificates for Implementations in Oil and Gas on Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
David Florez
Chief Operations Officer
David manages the IKM upstream and midstrea client base in the Americas.
He is also the bridge between IKM’s technology team and our in-house Oil and Gas business and industry experts.
15 years of direct field experience give David the executive view and hands on background to understand the key needs of our clients’ core business areas. David’s academic background includes a BA in Petroleum Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration.
Daniel Higuera
Dir. International Operations
Daniel is based in the IKM North America office and brings 10+ years of international business experience to the team. He has managed projects with complex scopes across North America and serves as the executive contact for our clients in Calgary, the NE of the US and Texas. Daniel is an adjunct professor teaching BIM methodology for the construction industry.
His Academic background includes a BA from Universidad de los Andes as well as postgraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, Yale University, Columbia University in New York. Daniel also holds a Master’s in Management from Duke University.
